More Than Just a Name
The Story of
MOOI MOOI
My grandmother wore one jade bracelet every day of her life. Sambil masak. Sambil minum kopi. Sambil hidup. The bracelet had a hairline scratch on it from the time she dropped a wok lid in the early eighties. It was older than I was. For years, my own jewellery lived in a drawer. Too precious for the kopitiam on a Sunday morning. Too fragile to travel. That was the gap MOOI was built into. Sterling silver, made by hand. We open every brown box at my desk in KL, inspect under window light, and name each piece. Selasih. Indera. Melati. We pack them in emerald case with a care card we wrote. Pieces that earn their place by being everywhere with you. Kiki · Founder, MOOI MOOI Curated in KL
