Zamrud is the Malay word for emerald, and here it names a colour rather than a stone. Deep jewel-box green, the green of velvet boxes at the back of your mother's drawer. Ice flower cut in green zirconia, platinum-look finish that holds the light without throwing it back too hard. For the evenings you want to feel observed without being loud.
